(This worked on sonyericsson w200 and may work on all sonyericsson phones. Havent been tested on other phones)
Preventing opera mini 4.2 from disconnecting is easy. all you have to do is to have the opera mini aswell as your system browser (default browser) running together.
The system browser (the default sonyericsson browser) establishes a stable gprs connection which allows you to remain connected to the internet for as long as you want and opera mini allows you to use the internet the way you want without having anymore disconnections with the internet.
Step 1.
You must already have the opera mini 4.2 installed on your sony ericsson.
Step 2.
Open your system browser (sony ericsson default browser).
Step 3.
Goto the following link.
Mini.opera.com
click the download option and wait till the next screen appears.
Step 4.
This next screen contains the download option (you will see it if you scroll down the page). Click for download.
Step 5.
Since you already have the opera mini 4.2 browser installed, the next screen will prompt and display the option to replace the existing opera mini 4.2. Click no.
The next screen will prompt and ask you to start the opera mini 4.2 already installed on your phone. This is the main deal. Click start or ok.
Here you have your opera mini opened along with the system browser running behind.
